We commissioned Sara to create a collection inspired by Margaret Bentinck, 2nd Duchess of Portland, an exceptional 18th century woman whose vast collections of natural history objects were rival to none.
Sara created designs based on the Portland Rose a plant named after Margaret and the honey bee after the nickname for Margaret’s home; “the hive” so called as it was always a bustle of activity.
Sara’s designs are sandblasted by hand onto high quality vintage and new glassware.
