Tamsin Arrowsmith-Brown is fascinated by the combination of usefulness and the aesthetic nature of ceramic vessels. She throws in porcelain and decorates each piece with intricate geometric patterns.

The decoration is an exploration of mark-making using embroidery, knitting, textiles and print as her inspiration.  She also works in a limited colour palette, in particular the blue and white of ‘traditional’ ceramics.

“Beautiful pottery compels you to pick it up, turn it over in your hands and use it. I'm particularly interested in the relationship between the form of the pot and the surface decoration”.
