
These handmade A5 books were created by Ursula Jeakins at Starsmead Bookbinding.
Each book is hand-sewn, with linen tapes, acid-free papers, and a conservation grade card.
The decorative paper covers include designs by well-known artists including Eric Ravilious, Paul Nash, Edward Bawden, and Elizabeth Friedlander, as well as hand-decorated papers by English marblers, including Victoria Hall and Christopher Rowlatt.

Ursula Jeakins runs Starsmead Bookbinding and is a bookbinder and book restorer. She is an avid paper collector and has a particular love for English patterned papers from the 1930s onwards. Her handmade books provide the opportunity to celebrate great contemporary and historical pattern design, and she regularly works with museums and artists to develop bespoke collections.
